1. A woman clippled by a spirit was bent over for 18 years
2. She was at the Synagogue on a Sabbath
3. Jesus saw her
4. Jesus called her and set her free from her infirmity
5. She is now a new woman!
- What now, lady? How will you live your miracle, after being touched by God’s Power?
Now she had to adjust her life style and everything around her. She can now straights up but her things at home are adjusted for when she was bent over.
Ephesians 5:8-10
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness (agathōsynē), righteousness (dikaiosynē) and truth (alētheia) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord.
1. Goodness
Greek = agathōsynē (agathos – good) = uprightness of heart and life, goodness, kindness -
UPRIGHT - a. Being in a vertical position or direction; b. Erect in posture or carriage
Look, it is like the woman...
2. Righteousness
Greek = dikaiosynē
a) the doctrine concerning the way in which man may attain a state approved of God
b) integrity, virtue, purity of life, rightness, correctness of thinking, feeling, and acting
3. Truth
Greek = alētheia = what is true in things appertaining to God and the duties of man, moral and religious truth
So... Get rid of all sin - Romans 13:11-13 (GW)
11 You know the times {in which we are living}. It's time for you to wake up. Our salvation is nearer now than when we first became believers. 12 The night is almost over, and the day is near. So we should get rid of the things that belong to the dark and take up the weapons that belong to the light. 13 We should live decently, as people who live in the light of day. Wild parties, drunkenness, sexual immorality, promiscuity, rivalry, and jealousy cannot be part of our lives.
Remember:
1. The invalid man (for 38 year...) John 5:14.
“Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”
2. The adulterous woman - John 8:10,11
“Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
“No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
What does please the Lord our God?
HOLINESS!!
Suggestion for your small group
- Go deep in GOODNESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS AND TRUTH, and how do these values apply to our lives.
